Course Deliverable:
With the knowledge and experience gained through the course,
each student will creat, direct and edit 4 short digital films.
Each student will also serve as a Director of Photography
and Assistant Camera on other students films.
Course Components:
Class Sessions - Class will provide theoretical
knowledge of techniques and will include examples and hands
on training as well as reading and self-discovery.
Lab Sessions - Lab will be hands on training
that applies theoretical knowledge previously learned in class
sessions. Mentors will conduct small group training to help
students accomplish practical projects. Students will often
be able to work on their own projects during lab sessions.
Mentors will review and discuss material and projects conducted
by the student during production time. Guest professionals
will present during lab sessions.
Production Sessions - Production sessions are
conducted by the student outside of class and lab time. On-call
mentors will be available for the students to meet and discuss
problems and barriers. Equipment and facilities will be made
available for the student use. Students will need to schedule
the use of facilities and equipment to accomplish their own
projects.
